Hi there, I am Anuja Aggarwal. I am an artist residing in Jaipur, India. Although I have been painting since childhood, I started my professional art journey in 2019. Currently, the medium I am spending most of my time on is Alcohol Inks, but I also work with watercolors, acrylic colors, gouache, and mixed mediums. PAINTING CHOSEN FOR SPECIAL AWARD IN “MY COPIC MOMENT” AWARDS, AUGUST 2021
Copic, the most popular marker brand in the world, conducted an online contest in which the theme was “Summer memories”.
My floral painting was selected in the Special Award Category. The comment by the judges was, “This refreshing ink art of yellow and orange flowers makes everyone happy. Perfect for summer!”

CHOSEN AS THE JUDGE OF NARA PAPERS ARTIST OF THE MONTH COMPETITION, JUNE 2021
alcohol ink artists from all over the world participate in the Nara Papers Artist of the Month competition. I was chosen to judge this competition in the month of June 2021. I came up with the theme of working on a black surface with white and gold inks, and also created several process videos for the techniques. Hundreds of artists participated in the competition.
CONDUCTED ONLINE PAINT PARTY WITH SEQUOIA
Sequoia (@coyasauce), from Ireland, a renowned alcohol ink artist, and I organized a free online paint party in which 30 participants from all over the world joined. It was a fun and interactive session, where both of us demonstrated some beautiful alcohol ink techniques that the participants followed along with us.

Alcohol ink art is very new in India and it was a challenge to get started in this field and make a mark in the art community. In this featured post, I talk about how I started and how my journey has been so far.
SPRING BLOOMS EXTRAVAGANZA, MAR/MAY 2021
Organized, managed and conducted four days of international online floral alcohol ink art workshop along with three renowned artists who are famous for their own styles of alcohol ink flower art - Anne Roos Smink, The Netherlands @brushcali; Kimberly Deene Langlois, Raleigh NC, USA @kimberlydeenedesigns; June Corstorphine, Vancouver, BC, Canada, @flowing_from_grace. All the workshops got sold out within 12 hours of announcing. The participants gave amazing reviews about the entire experience.
CONDUCTED THE FIRST OF ITS KIND ONLINE ALCOHOL INK WORKSHOPS FOR GROUPS OF ART ENTHUSIASASTS IN HONG KONG, MAR/MAY 2021
The workshops were conducted over Zoom. Language and distance were not a barrier as all the arrangements were made at a wonderful location, along with an interpreter, projector, and material. The workshops were conducted in two parts where I taught three techniques before the break and three after the break. All the participants enjoyed getting introduced to this wonderful medium.
ALCOHOL INK PAINTINGS EXHIBITED AND LIVE PAINTING DEMO GIVEN AT WOMEN'S ART AURA EXHIBITION,
ALBERT HALL, JAIPUR, MAR 2021
I displayed my alcohol ink artworks at this exhibition organized by Srijan art promotional society and Department of Archaeology & Museums, and Sky Hawk at Albert Hall Museum, Jaipur to celebrate Women's day. The 4-day exhibition in which over 30 artists participated, was very well appreciated. I also gave a live demo of my alcohol ink art technique during the exhibition.

HEXAGON SHAPED ALCOHOL INK ART PAPER LAUNCHED IN COLLABORATION WITH NARA PAPERS
Nara Papers is one of the best brands of alcohol ink art paper chosen by artists all over the world. It comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. I collaborated with Nara Papers to launch a new shape of paper designed for alcohol inks. The package displays my picture and introduction. The paper was very well received by the customers and art on this paper could be found in Instagram with #narahexa.
CONDUCTED A SERIES OF ONLINE ALCOHOL INK ART WORKSHOPS IN COLLABORATION WITH POLINA FROM RUSSIA
Alcohol ink art workshops are becoming very popular and people from all over the world want to learn different styles and techniques of working with the inks. I collaborated with a Russain artist Polina (she runs Mone & Mane Art Studio in Moscow).
Together, we taught floral art techniques and ripples techniques using alcohol inks. The workshops were received very well and were sold out within a few hours of announcing.
CONDUCTED ONLINE ALCOHOL INK ART WORKSHOP WITH KIMBERLY DEENE LANGLOIS
Kimberly is a US-based alcohol ink artist with her unique style of creating flowers. Together we conducted an advanced level workshop where we taught various ways of making flowers using alcohol inks. The reviews received for the workshop were outstanding and all the participants enjoyed learning the techniques.

ALCOHOL INK PAINTING GOT AWARDED

My painting was shortlisted and selected as the winner of the "Uniquely Indian" art challenge hosted by The Crimson Canvas on Instagram on Independence Day. The theme was to depict something which is Indian in your own way. Hundreds of artists on Instagram participated in the contest.

ALCOHOL INK PAINTINGS EXHIBITED

I displayed my alcohol ink paintings at Artists Galore - II, organized by Hops n Taters and co-sponsored by Kalaneri Art Gallery and Academy of Fine Arts. The vibrant paintings attracted all the visitors and everybody wanted to know more about how this art is done.
PAINTINGS DISPLAYED AT RETH FESTIVAL, JAISALMER, JAN 2020
My Rajasthan themed watercolour paintings were chosen to be displayed at "Reth Festival" held at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. It was a creative, residential festival attended by some of the prominent artists from all over the state and the country. The festival was organized by CultureClan.

WALL PAINTING AT CENTRAL PARK, JAIPUR DEC 2019
Spreading the message of the importance of saving the bees by painting a wall canvas at Central Park, Jaipur.
This Own Your Park initiative was organized by Contree and WeInfinityIndia, powered by Jaipur Development Authority.
